The woman with the answers, Glenda Myhand is Chief Administrative Officer of City Connect Detroit. She joined City Connect Detroit in December 2001, during the beginning stages of the organizations demonstration phase. As Chief Administrative Officer, Glenda manages the organization’s financial, human resources, and legal functions.
Prior joining City Connect Detroit, Glenda provided ten years of service at United Way’s Community Services, where she worked on numerous projects including co-managing the Transition Office during the merger of United Community Services of Metropolitan Detroit and United Way for Southeastern Michigan in 1995. She also served as project assistant for UWCS’ Strategic Planning Process, and worked with UWCS’ 130 funded member agency executive alliance.
Glenda has an undergraduate degree in Public Affairs Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Always a smiling face, Glenda is active with her church and participates in the Pastor’s Care and Sister to Sister Ministry. She is a bowler who likes to travel, especially to North Carolina.
