School-based Health Centers Collaborative

This collaborative is developing an evaluation of school-based health centers in Detroit. City Connect Detroit has partnered with the University Of Michigan’s Clinical Health Research (MICHR) program around this effort. The collaboration has met with local families and health practitioners to learn more about the school-based health center program in Detroit, which is rapidly expanding as an alternative to traditional health care facilities. Partners are now preparing to raise funds for their evaluation and to implement it during the next school year. Results from the evaluation will be used to refine current services and develop new service offerings within the centers.
