This initiative provides year round education and work readiness training to Detroit youth, as well as a paid summer work experience.
City Connect Detroit is the program creator and manager for this initiative, which it operates in partnership with seven community-based nonprofit partners.
The Young Adult Education and Employability program was created in 2014, to expand on other youth employment activities of City Connect Detroit. In 2014, the program trained and employed 180 youth.
Wayne Metro Community Action Agency is the primary funding partner for this initiative.
