This initiative provides year round education and work readiness training to Detroit youth, as well as a paid summer work experience.
City is the program creator and manager for this initiative, which it operates in partnership with seven community-based nonprofit partners.
The Young Adult Education and Employability program was created in 2014, to expand on other youth employment activities of City . In 2014, the program trained and employed 180 youth.
Wayne Metro Community Action Agency is the primary funding partner for this initiative.
